Do you have any wireless router Recommendation?

Here are some solid routers for different budgets and needs:

I only need internet service for a few days. Can CamTech help me?

Absolutely. We have cost effective plans to provide high-speed Internet Access for temporary events. Please contact us for details and pricing.

What areas do you service?

CamTech services the entire county of San Diego and some parts of Riverside and Imperial Counties . Please see our service area page for details.

How much does fixed wireless internet service cost?

What is a site survey?

A site survey helps us determine if the signal distributed from the towers can be received at your location at a good signal strength level. Scheduling a site survey with us does not obligate you to purchase our services. It helps us determine if we can service your location.

What is the difference between download and upload?

Download refers to traffic which comes from the Internet to your computer. Upload refers to traffic which goes from your computer to the Internet. The vast majority of end–user Internet traffic is comprised of downloading.

How long will it take to set up service with CamTech?

We can typically have the service installed within week of you placing an order and us completing the preliminary site survey. The actual install could take about two hours.

Does the weather affect the services?

Because of the frequency and the redundancies that are being used, rain has only a negligible effect on the wireless signal.

Is it difficult to increase my speed?

Increasing your bandwidth (speed) is easy, simply give us a call and we can increase your speed. In most cases we can do it within 72 working hours. We do limit plan changes to one per billing cycle.

What service limitations apply?

Services like Web hosting or hosted services such as camera, gaming server, peer-to-peer, etc., that require static IP address are not supported. CamTech Broadband Internet is not compatible with some steaming services (HULU Live and YouTube TV) that required your internet IP location to remain fixed in order to offer local channel programming. Please check with your TV service provider.

How does you 15 days free tryout works?

After the install you will have 15 days to tryout your selected plan for free. If you dissatisfied with the service you can cancel it by emailing us at: cancel@camtechbroadband.com. This must be done at least three (3) working days prior to the of tryout period.

What is you cancellation policy?

We have no long term contracts (month to month) unless specified. Send your cancellation request via email to: cancel@camtechbroadband.com. This must be done at least three (3) working prior to the end of your billing cycle

Are there any cancellation fees?

No! However, all equipment must be return in good shape. If equipment is not return un-damage, a reasonable fee may be charger.

Why does Hulu Live does not work with CamTech?

CamTech is not compatible with some steaming service (HULU Live and YouTube TV) that required your internet IP location to remain fixed in order to offer local channel programming. Please check with your TV service provider.

Can I get an an static IP address from you?

Unfortunately, the system can only assign you a dynamic IP address.

When does cancellation become effective

The cancellation will become effective three (working) days from the date of request or on the specified future date.

When do I need to return my equipment

Our equipment (dish, antenna, mounting bracket/roof mount and power supply) must be return to us within 30 days of your cancellation effective date or we can pick up for a fee of $50.

When can I return my equipment

If you wish to return our equipment to us, please call ahead to make arrangements as we do not have full time office administration staff at our office. Please allow 20 minutes for the drop off as the equipment must be tested.

If I do not return my equipment after 30 days of cancellation

If our equipment is not return after 30 days from cancellation date a fee will be added to your account for up to $500 (depending on the type of equipment).

Cancellation and billing cycle

Any invoice generated prior to the effective date of your requested cancellation date are your responsibility. There is no proration for any unused service, so we are encouraging you to live out the remaining part of your billing cycle.
